Master Shortie - A.D.H.D Album Review...
If you haven't heard of Master Shortie he is a South London rapper (bit of singing also) who is sort of on the same kick as your Dizzee Rascals, Chipmunks and Tinchy Stryders. I remember seeing his video for his song Dead End in 08 and thought this is pretty darn catchy, I think he will do ok, and maybe a year or less later here he is with his debut album.
Now I wouldn't call him a serious rapper or a hardcore rapper, as he raps about bapes, rope chains, skinny jeans, groupies etc etc, which is cool, things he is into (me to also, which is why i dig the album) and he doesn't really rap with a complex style or anything but its entertaining and easily listening. If I was to diss anything I would say he recycles subject matters and lyrics a little to much, more variety would have been good.
What I like about the album is its much different to all the uk hip hop you hear right now, you don't hear any rappers rapping about wearing skinny jeans or them rocking boat shoes in there videos, he has to be the most non-threatening rapper out. he has alot of 80's influnce on his album...e.g. when he breaks into Prince Charming by Adam and the Ants in his song 'Nothing To Be Scared Of'
My fav songs on the album are Under the Moon, Bring It Back, London Town, Groupie Love, Right Time and Dead End.
Anywho to sum it up I think its a pretty decent album, a few songs seem to be filler, there are enough songs on it I like for me to listen to again. At least 4 will go in my new playlist. Lyrics wise it's nothing mind blowing or amazing, but I don't think he is out to come off that way. While some of the subject matters are recycled on his songs, I like the stuff he is talking about and I can relate more then a gun toting rapper.
Raing 7.5/10

Gym Day 11...(yesterday)...
Anywho started with 5 sets on on the chest press machine with one warm up set. Then 2 sets on the stupid cable crossover machine which was just horrible. Then 4 sets on the pec deck machine which was pretty good actually.
Moved on to shoulders where I did 3 sets on the shoulder press machine. Then 3 sets of lateral raises then 3 sets of front raises.
Then for triceps 3 sets on the pushdown machine then 3 sets on the overhand extension machine.
Not the best workout every but it got the job done.

Wireless Festival was the nuts...
Went there sunday, not knowing much about it as I didn't even know it was coming up. I got a text saturday night from my mate Sam saying meet at 2pm yeah? I was like o_O was that for me? To which he replied, of course, Wireless tomorrow...thank God I didn't have anything else planned...
Anywho it was really good, got to see Kanye, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Calvin Harris, N-Dubz, Chipmunk, Example and a few others. Was fn immense, so much better then I thought it would be.
The biggest and most hyped moment of the day was when Cudi did Day n Nite, everyone was just waiting for him to singing it and the place went INSANE! He did the original song first then, did the remix and peeps went bonkers, was so sick. He then jumped off the stage and EVERYONE rushed forward, it made me wonder where the hell that space came from as we must have moved forward like 10 places.
Chipmunk...where do I start, it was soooo surreal seeing all these people feeling him so much, it wasn't long ago i saw him spitting on dvd's as an up and comer, he killed it.
Q-Tip was fn great also. He is someone I liked before but I have gotten to love *pause* alot lately due to the podcast I listen to (Juan Epstein) where they go on about him and Tribe Called Quest all the time. For someone so laid back he has mad energy on stage. He did life gets better from his most recent album which made my day, as thats one of my most played songs on my itunes, fn love it.
N-Dubz were really good, didn't do some of my fav songs but they were big nonetheless and Tulisa was looking FINE!!!!!
Example is a dude I only heard one song of a while ago, then I saw him on the train quite a few times randomly and wondered where I knew him from lol. Anywho he was awesome, so much energy, everyone in the tent was feeling him. When he did some heads, shoulders knees and toes remix the crowd and myself went crazy.
Kanye was top of the bill and he didn't disappoint, it was only at the end when I realised how many hits this guy has. Song after song were songs I liked. Yes his lyrics are often corny or whatever, but MY LORRDDD its catchy. The biggest pops of the night was when he did American Boy and probably Stronger...'Say You Will' was also immense.
Anywho wireless was the ish, defo going next year...

Gym Day 4...Building those legs...
Quick post as I am tired as ****, went to the gym today to work back, biceps and legs. For back i did 3 sets of chin ups, 3 sets of rows and 3 sets of lat pulldowns to finish off.
For biceps I did 3 sets of bicep curls doing 7s, 3 sets of alternate dumbbell curls then 3 sets of preacher curls.
For Legs I do 5 sets of leg press, 3 sets of leg extensions, then 3 sets of hamstring curls followed by 3 sets of calf raises...Working legs was surprisingly fun, usually hate it but it was really fun for some reason. I also was 3 plates off the maximum weight on leg press which made me happy, legs still must have some strength in them...
I'm done, time to sleep...

Gym Day 3...the Slacker...
I planned to work, chest, triceps and shoulders, which I got to do, but stupid idiots hogging the bench meant I didn't get to bench press which sucked. It was rather empty on the friday though so other machines were free and I got a decent work out out of it.
For chest I did 2 warm-up sets on the chest press, then 3 real sets. Then some incline bench press with the machine for 3 sets. Followed by 2 sets of incline fly's then 2 sets of incline dumbbell bench press.
Moved on to Triceps, again all my stuff I wanteds t ouse was taken up, so I used the machine tricep pushdowns and did 3 sets. Then 3 sets of rope pushdowns/ over head extensions and finished this off with 2 sets of skull crushers.
For Shoulders I did 3 sets of shoulder presses, 3 sets of lateral raises and then 3 sets of front raises.
It was a good workout, felt like I was in the gym for ages though, need to speed things up a bit...
